Trump Says UFO Files Are Coming “Very, Very Soon.” A Congresswoman Says She Already Saw the Evidence, and It Isn’t Human.

President Trump told a White House crowd this week that the Pentagon is preparing to release “very interesting” UFO files that have never been shown to the public. Four days earlier, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna stated she has viewed evidence in a classified government facility of nonhuman origin and creation. The two biggest names in the UAP disclosure push are now saying the same thing at the same time.

Something shifted in the UAP disclosure story this week, and it happened at two levels at once.

At the top, President Trump stood in front of NASA astronauts at a White House event on May 7, 2026, and told the room that the government is preparing to release UFO files the public has never seen. “We’re going to be releasing a lot of things that we haven’t,” he said. “I think some of it’s going to be very interesting to people.”

Eight days earlier, on April 29, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, the Air Force veteran who co-chairs the House Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, went further than any sitting member of Congress ever has. She stated publicly that she has personally viewed evidence, inside a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, which is the most classified type of government space available, of what she described as nonhuman origin and creation.

These are not fringe figures talking to a podcast. This is the President of the United States and a sitting member of the House of Representatives. And they are now saying, in coordinated public statements, that something real is about to be released.

How We Got Here

The current disclosure push traces back to February 19, 2026, when Trump signed a directive ordering all federal agencies to begin identifying and releasing government files related to extraterrestrial life, UAP, and UFOs. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the Pentagon was working on it. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence posted on social media that classified materials would “soon” be declassified.

Rep. Luna, who has been pressing this issue for months, sent a formal letter on April 1 to Hegseth demanding 46 specific classified military UAP videos. The list was precise. It named individual files by title, date, and location. That specificity only happens when someone with inside knowledge gives you the actual file names, meaning at least one whistleblower had access to AARO’s classified holdings and shared that information with Congress.

The Pentagon missed Luna’s April 14 deadline. Not a single video was produced. Luna responded by saying the president had authorized the release and that she was prepared to subpoena the footage if resistance continued.

Then came April 29, when Luna said she had personally been inside a SCIF and seen evidence she described as being of nonhuman origin and creation. That is a direct, specific, on-the-record claim from a sitting U.S. legislator. It is not a leaked rumor. It is not a tabloid report. It is a congresswoman saying, in plain language, that she has seen physical evidence of something that was not made by humans.

What AARO Has and Has Not Said

The All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, which is the Pentagon office created by Congress specifically to investigate UAP, has accumulated more than 2,400 case reports as of April 2026. Its previous director, Sean Kirkpatrick, was skeptical of any bombshell revelations. He told reporters this week that the government records he reviewed showed no evidence of aliens and that “readers should not get their hopes up that there’s going to be some document with photos, interviewing the aliens when they came down.”

Kirkpatrick also suggested that Trump’s push was a distraction, calling it a “shiny object” designed to divert attention from other political matters.

That dismissal sits awkwardly next to several documented facts. A senior Navy officer testified before Luna’s task force last fall that in 2023, off the coast of California, he personally watched a glowing Tic Tac-shaped object emerge from the ocean and link up with three similar objects before they all sped away in an instant. That was sworn testimony from a credentialed military officer. It was not an anonymous tip.

AARO has confirmed it is now working directly with the White House to prepare what the Pentagon officially described as “never-before-seen UAP information.” That phrase came from an official Pentagon statement. They chose those words.

The “Nonhuman” Statement

Luna’s April 29 statement is the most significant thing a sitting member of Congress has said out loud about this subject, and it deserves to be taken seriously rather than buried.

She said she has viewed evidence in a SCIF of nonhuman origin and creation. She did not say she thinks aliens are real. She did not speculate. She described specific evidence she personally witnessed in the most controlled classified environment the U.S. government operates.

Luna has previously told podcast host Joe Rogan that she has seen evidence of what she called interdimensional beings. She has been consistent in this position across multiple public appearances.

The combination of Luna’s SCIF statement, Trump’s “very interesting” teaser, and the Pentagon’s own confirmation of a coming release of never-before-seen UAP material represents something that has not happened before: coordinated, public, on-the-record signaling from the executive branch, the legislative branch, and the Defense Department simultaneously.

What Happens When the Files Drop

Two things are possible when the files are released.

The first is that they show compelling evidence of genuinely unexplained objects, transmedium vehicles that move through water and air, objects without visible propulsion or control surfaces executing maneuvers beyond any known aircraft, electromagnetic effects on military systems, and events that a significant number of credible witnesses have described under oath. If that is what the files contain, the story will be bigger than anything in the history of the UFO subject.

The second is that the release is carefully managed to show enough to satisfy the promise without revealing anything that conclusively answers the core question. This is what happened with the JFK file release, which Trump also promised as groundbreaking. The documents came out. They revealed little that was not already known. The story faded.

What is different this time is Luna’s SCIF statement. She has now said, on the record, that she has personally seen evidence of nonhuman origin. If the file release contradicts that or refuses to address it, the question of what she actually saw will not go away.

The files are supposed to be released “very, very soon.” Those were the president’s words. The clock is running.
